Clearing bits of slag from molten aluminum.

The aluminum was melted down in a furnace I purchased. The furnace is capable of 2100°F which is hot enough to melt most metals we come across in every day life except for steel and iron.

The crucible and stir rod are graphite. Synthetic graphite will melt or vaporize at temperatures between 6300°F and 7200°F.
