I got to take this beauty of a Harley-Davidson FXDLS Dyna Low Rider S out for a quick ride today (22/04/2017).
She is a dream to ride and handles surprisingly well for a 300kg bike.
The Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam 110ci (1800cc) motor pulls like a train and sounds brutal with the Vance & Hines 2 into 1.
The suspension is spot on, comfy enough over the bumpy bits but felt well planted. The controls are all nice and easy to use although a lot different to what I’m used to.
The brakes aren’t as good as the ones on my Suzuki Bandit 1200, but they Low Rider is about 50% heavier than the Bandit, and the tank mounted console is a bit of pain to see with a full face helmet on.
If only I had the space and spare cash
Thanks to Edinburgh Harley-Davidson for letting me test ride the bike. . . . http://www.edinburghharley-davidson.co.uk/
YouTube has killed the quality of the video as usual.
I really need to get an external mic for my camera as the internal mic can’t handle the low notes of the bikes, and the wind noise is shocking.
