ISRI2016 Spotlight on Copper

The copper market has exemplified how commodity prices, market fundamentals, and the economy have become increasingly disconnected. Worries about dwindling Chinese demand for copper and copper scrap has had an outsized impact on copper process, along with concerns about the rising dollar and broad weakness across the commodity spectrum. As with other commodities, scrap recyclers are concerned about what 2016 will hold. Will it be more of the same, a recovery, or an even deeper decline?
