PE reinforced mica tape is made from mica paper and non-carbon polymer film (PE) as either single-sided or double-sided reinforced material which are baked in a high temperature at a constant velocity, and then cut into tapes with a
special slitter. It is now mainly used in the manufacturing of fire-resistant electric wire and cable.
The narrowest PE reinforced mica tape is 5mm wide.
