The rigid frame strander is an important device for twisting wire and cable conductors. It is mainly used for large-length, large-section aluminum, aluminum alloy stranded wire, bare copper stranded wire and steel core aluminum stranded wire, round and sector-shaped conductors, and cross-linked tightly pressed cores without back twisting.
The stranding quality directly affects the performance of the entire cable product.
The traditional rigid frame strander generally adopts the ground shaft transmission. The transmission of the capstan and the cage is usually driven by the same motor through a reduction box, a gearbox, a ground shaft, an angle box, and the like. The take-up and traverser are controlled separately or centralizedly driven and controlled by the above motors.
There are many disadvantages to this structure:
(1). The ground shaft drive is an open drive, with poor lubrication conditions, foreign matter such as dust is easy to enter, causing gear wear and damage, and loud noise at the production site.
(2). Gear shifting is adopted, and the transmission structure is complicated. The gap between the gears is large, which is prone to motion shock and damage to the ground shaft, gears, and boxes. At the same time, due to its complicated mechanical structure, it is more difficult to maintain the whole machine.
(3). Due to the limitation of the ground shaft, the rotation speed of the cage is low, and the production speed is difficult to increase, which restricts the production efficiency of the production.
(4). Because the gearbox has a fixed speed ratio, its pitch can only be changed within a limited range. It is impossible to choose the pitch required by some process designs.
TheΦ630 rigid frame strander combines the stranding production technology of domestic first-class cable manufacturers and absorbs the advantages of the same type of equipment from abroad. It adopts the transmission method with individual motors, and each cage and capstan are driven by separate motors.

    Main Components

    This equipment is mainly composed of end-shaft pay-off, cages and pre-formed devices, automatic bobbin loading system, protective covers, meter counter, dual pulling capstan, gantry-type movable take-up, and electrical control systems.

    1. Cages

    Cages
    There are several types of cages, 6, 12, 18, 24, and 30. The number of cages can be configured according to the customer’s product structure.
    The cage frame is a quadrilateral, with a compact structure, which can meet the needs of high-speed operation. The number of cages can be selected according to customer requirements, and is suitable for PND630 bobbins. In order to overcome the problems such as twisting rebound and loose strands caused by no twisting of the frame stranding machine, a single wire pre-twisting device is installed in front of the branch plate of each strand of the cage. Deformation, pre-twisting out the required shape in advance, so that the single wire does not rebound or loose during the twisting process. This device can be removed when not in use.
    The winch and cage are made of steel plate welding, and the structure is strong, which is tempered and blasted to remove stress. The whole CNC lathe is processed and manufactured with high strength. The structural design and overall processing are suitable for high-speed operation of the cage.
    Each cage and capstan are driven by separate motors, which can achieve the same or reverse twisting of each segment of the cage. The positioning of the bobbin loading of the cage frame is controlled by the contacts on the frame and the proximity switch. The drive is equipped with a slow-motion jog positioning system. The main drive can be disengaged from the bobbin loading positioning motor. It can reduce the frequent jogging of the main motor and prolong the service life of the main motor.
    The rotary air bag adopts the axial surface sealing mode, and the sealing effect is much better than the cross-sectional sealing. It has abrasion resistance and high temperature resistance. It is sealed by air cooling during normal operation. However, in order to save air consumption, the cooling compressed air will be automatically closed when it is stopped.
    Each bobbin and barrel are equipped with non-contact sensors to detect the running state of the bobbins. Once one of the bobbin is disconnected, the corresponding sensor will immediately send a pulse signal and stop the whole machine. The position of the broken wire of the gallows is displayed on the top, and the line can be ensured in time. In order to ensure the normal operation and false alarm of the whole machine, the disconnection shutdown is only used when the speed is 10m / min.
    The top of the bobbin is clamped by a cylinder. When the bobbin is clamped, it can be converted to manually lock the whole machine, which is reliable and safe. In order to prevent the thread hole and the tip from being punctured by the thimble, the bobbin and barrel are made of wear-resistant materials to increase the contact surface and friction.
    Adopting pneumatic tension control. The electronic monitoring device tracks the installation quantity of the bobbin, and transmits signals to the PLC according to the shallowness and fullness of the bobbin. The PLC controls the intake air volume of the pneumatic proportional valve, so that the tension is measured by the bobbin. And the synchronization is reduced to achieve constant tension control; the two sets of pressure cylinders control the tension of the pay-off to ensure that the pressure of the pressure cylinder acts on the tension disk evenly.
    The control mode is used according to the wire length of the bobbin. Set the length of the loading line on the touch screen, calculate the length reduction in the normal working process, send a signal to the PLC, and then the PLC controls the air intake of the pneumatic proportional valve, and then the tension is synchronized with the reduction of the line loading. The brake cylinder controls the tension of the bobbin to ensure that the pressure of the pressure cylinder on the tension disk is uniform. Using disc brakes for more precise tension control.

    2. Automatic Loading and Unloading System of the Cages

    Each cage is equipped with a synchronous bobbin loading and unloading device, and an electric bobbin loading and unloading device. There are two main types according to the bobbin loading way: Side bobbin loading and downside bobbin loading.

    (1) Side bobbin loading

    Automatic side bobbin loadingThe device can realize the whole row of bobbins to be loaded or unloaded at the same time. This system is composed of electric trolleys, which are mounted on the ground guide rails. This insures the bobbins be pushed and taken out easily, and the trolleys can move on the ground. The trolley can put the full bobbins on the ground, then take out the emputy bobbins on the other side of the full bobbins. If only one bobbin needs to be replaced, an electric trolley is enough.
    The centralized loading adopts frequency conversion control, the trolley starts slowly, runs fast, and slows again when approaching the cage, ensuring that the trolley runs smoothly, accurately and reliably, and has dual mechanical and electrical positioning.
    The device is equipped with an bobbin loading positioning system, which consists of sensor positioning and pneumatic positioning. When loading and unloading, the cage rotates close to the position, the sensor sends a signal to the PLC, and the PLC sends a command to the positioning system. The pneumatic positioning effect, the cylinder moves, and the gallows are locked.
    (2) Downside bobbin loading

    Automatic downside bobbin loadingThe device can complete the entire process of walking, turning, and loading. When the bobbin reaches the storage position of the loading device, the bobbin loading system is activated, and when the loading position is reached, the bobbin is turned into a 45-degree direction to ensure the determination of the bobbin loading position.
    The device adopts structural parts, which is firm and reliable. The electric trolley runs smoothly, accurately and reliably, and the mechanical and electrical dual positioning.
    When the device is not working, the upper surface of the device is on the same level as the ground, and does not occupy the floor space.
    The automatic loading and unloading system can run as a whole or individually, which is easy to operate, safe and reliable. It effectively shortens the working time and improves production efficiency.

    3. Dual Haul-off Capstan

    Dual Haul-off CapstanThis equipment is equipped with wheel type dual haul-off capstan device. Both capstan wheels are groove wheels and are dual-active. Each wheel has 6 slots, and both of which are U-shaped slots with which the slot pitch can ensure the maximum size of the stranded wire on the production line. The dividing wheel has a specific inclination, so that the dividing line can be completed naturally. The front and rear wheels are tilted to each other to ensure that the wires are not squeezed when running.
    The diameter of the capstan wheel can be equipped with 2000mm or 2500mm according to customer requirements, and the maximum traction can reach 15T.

    Installation and Commissioning

    After the order is established, we will provide customers with foundation drawing, pipe drawing and layout drawing. Customers can build and lay foundations according to the drawings we sent.
    We will discuss in detail with our customers about the commissioning plan before the equipment arrives at the factory. Customers need to prepare materials for installation and commissioning. Of course we will send a detailed preparation list to help our customers.
